Advent is a season for preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus. The best way to prepare our hearts is to keep them open to God's love. Once we receive God's love, then we try to give it away by reaching out our hands to other people.
The Bible says that we came from dust and we will return to dust. To me, this reminds us to live a really simple life. During Advent it is good to think about living a simple life. Putting God first helps us to keep things simple. after all, one day all of our stuff could turn to dust.
Baptism gives us new life in Christ. For most of us, it happened a long time ago. Advent can help us to experience new life in Christ by spending time in prayer and service. Advent can be a chance to renew our promise of Baptism by our actions.
During Advent there is a lot of noise. Its important to take the time to listen so we can really hear what God is calling us to do. We can listen to the readings at Mass, Advent songs, and good advice from people we trust when we want to hear what God is saying.
John the Baptist told the people to prepare the way of the Lord. John was a radical, so his message helped to wake up the people. John told people to prepare for the Messiah by turning away from sin and getting baptized. my brother was baptized on the first Sunday of Advent to help us prepare for Jesus at Christmas
The star of Bethlehem reminds us to shine as we focus our vision during Advent. The shepherds and wise men followed a shining star to find Jesus. If we shine by living what we believe then we can help people find Jesus, too.
During Advent we open our eyes to see God' love at work in the world. We also open our hearts so we can share that love with others. Finally, we open our minds so we can understand God's will.
Fellowship means that everyone is welcome in the family of God. Advet is a time to reach out to the people who seem like they don't fit in. Inclusiveness is an important goal for Advent time, controls every thing what if their was no time you would be so confused all the time or would you
