Using any novel we've read in class, explain how a novel might
influence change in society. (Night by Elie Wiesel)
In the story night by Elie Wiesel the protagonist elie goes to live in concentration camps and we could use this story to change modern day society because the shock that comes with not only this story but every WW11 book. It is devastating knowing what they did to other humans and how they did it. This book could change a lot of peoples opinions on what the Nazis did. It could also make people appreciate life that much more. The fact that this a true story makes it worse the way they made them march for days on end and if you stoped you were trampled to death. The book makes you wonder what they did the first couple days of freedom i dont think that i could suffer through the pain of watching your father die and knowing no one would do anything. Looking at this from a catholic Christian stand point it is hard to think good would do this to anyone. It also raises questions from the families that lost members during the wars they think that god is not a good god but just because he didn't save them they can't blame it on god.
